VfL Bochum has landed their next new signing. According to BILD information, Daniel Hanslik is moving from Kaiserslautern to the Ruhr region. The offensive player is joining on a free transfer and signing a contract for 2 years until 2028. His contract with FCK has expired and was not extended. Hanslik is the third new signing for VfL Bochum, following Berkan Taz and Enis Cokaj. For Lautern, Hanslik scored three goals and provided five assists in 25 league games last season. Good for Bochum: the former Kiel player can play both with and for striker Philipp Hofmann. Director of licensed football Simon Zoller is convinced of Hanslik's abilities: „With Daniel, we get an absolute leader who was vice-captain in Kaiserslautern and whose qualities we are fully convinced of, both sportingly and character-wise.“ Hanslik himself is happy about the move: „I'm very happy that it worked out to sign with such a club, and I'm already looking forward to playing for VfL Bochum for the first time.“ VfL Bochum still has a great need for a central defender. Currently, only Philipp Strompf, a trained central defender, is under contract after June 30. Although negotiations with Noah Loosli are still ongoing, an agreement has not yet been reached. VfL Bochum also has to deal with the missed promotion and the decrease in TV revenue. The Pottklub needs a lot of reinforcement and preferably at a low price.
