VfL Bochum has announced that they have extended Colin Kleine-Bekel's contract for another year until 2029. The 23-year-old center-back spent last season on loan at FC St. Gallen, where he scored one goal in 16 matches. For the upcoming 2026-27 season, Kleine-Bekel will again be loaned to the Swiss team, which finished as runners-up and cup winners last season. The former vice-captain of Borussia Dortmund's U-19 team began his professional career in the summer of 2022 with Holstein Kiel. There, he worked his way into the first team and even celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga before moving to VfL Bochum in May 2025. This extension demonstrates VfL Bochum's trust in Kleine-Bekel's development and his future role in the team.
