VfL Bochum's U19 has received a boost. A talented player is coming from a Bundesliga NLZ. VfL Bochum's U19 has received a boost. From RB Leipzig comes Gianluca Reschke to the Castroper Straße. He is 18 years old, 1.86 meters tall, a defender and was in the last season 15 times for the U19 of RB in action. Reschke comes from the youth of SC Stahl Brandenburg, which he left in the summer of 2020 and joined RB Leipzig. Through the youth teams, Reschke has worked his way up to the U19. His coach in Bochum will be David Siebers. The 38-year-old is a veteran of VfL Bochum, having been involved in various functions in the club since the summer of 2014. He was a trainer in various youth teams, assisted Robin Dutt as "Co" with the professionals and served as a team manager. Most recently, VfL Bochum reported on the future orientation of its youth teams and confirmed Siebers in his position as U19 head coach. "The talent workshop wants to be one of the best addresses for youth development in Germany in the future", wrote VfL Bochum in a press release. The U19 has made a name for itself nationwide with its participations in the quarterfinals of the DFB Youth League, the semifinals of the DFB Junior Cup and the final of the Westfalen Cup. According to the established internal rotation in the talent workshop, two long-time VfL employees will take over the two next age groups after the U19. Dennis Gieseker will take over the position of U17 head coach for the first time, Benjamin Seifert will also move to the U16 with his age group. Frederik Keller will also move up and take over the U15. A new face on the head coach position is Maximilian Thieringer. As a co-trainer in the talent workshop, he will take over the U14 juniors in the new season.
